Since entering the pet insurance market in 1976, we have worked closely with the veterinary community to ensure that we offer you the best products and services available. In fact, 9 out of 10 vets promote Petplan pet insurance1. This strong and symbiotic relationship between Petplan and the veterinary community benefits our customers.

We can pay your claim directly to the vet

We may be able to pay your claim direct, helping to alleviate the financial and emotional burden at a difficult time. Over 40% of the claims we received last year were paid directly to the vet, meaning that our customers did not have to pay the vet first and then wait for the claim to be reimbursed.

For those customers that did pay the vet before submitting a claim, we were able to settle more than 80% of the claims within 5 working days.2 Together we are constantly looking for ways to alleviate the financial and emotional burden of making a claim so you can get back to looking after your treasured pet.
