Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre wins £500

The Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre wins the Petplan Charity Prize Draw

The Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre, in Hurst, Berkshire has won a valuable £500 donation from the UK’s favourite pet insurance provider, Petplan.

Founded over 40 years ago in Wokingham, staff and supporters of the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre have helped thousands of unwanted, stray and neglected animals. The centre has now relocated in Hurst, where animals are accommodated in specially adapted and purpose-built space on a 14 acre site.

”It was a fantastic surprise to win Petplan's prize draw,” says Janet North, centre manager of the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre. "The money will help us to care for the hundreds of animals we rescue every year."

Petplan works with more re-homing charities than any other insurer to help fund the care of thousands of homeless cats and dogs. The company offers four weeks free insurance to every owner adopting pets through the shelters it supports and also offers free insurance vouchers to visitors and supporters of the charities. Each month a prize draw is held from all the insurance vouchers issued and one charity benefits from the prize fund.
