Shar-Pei wins Petplan Junior Stakes Grand Final

A Shar-Pei, called Dixie, a local dog from Milton Keynes, was recently announced as the winner of the prestigious Petplan Junior Stakes Grand Final dog show.

Petplan, the UK's favourite pet insurance provider, host the Junior Stakes Championship dog show series each year for registered pedigree dogs, aged between 6 to 18 months. There are four qualifying events, which take place at established Championship Shows across the country, to form the Junior Stakes series, which concludes in a grand final to find the Petplan Junior Stakes winner.

"I was absolutely lost for words! I didn't think that he would win," said Dixie's owner, Sharon Sutherland. "It was an amazing day and a great series put on by Petplan – I've been spoiling Dixie ever since for winning."

Petplan hosted the annual event at the New Bingley Hall venue in Stafford, with 28 dogs in finalist position vying for the winner's spot.
