Pot-bellied pigs get a posh pad

Staff at Petplan, the UK’s leading pet insurance provider, has come to the assistance of the National Animal Welfare Trust’s (NAWT) pot-bellied pigs by painting and restoring their paddock fence that has been in desperate need of a make over.

Allegra Scott, Head of Fundraising for the National Animal Welfare Trust said: "We were delighted that the staff from Petplan were able to help us complete this essential task. The paddock provides a peaceful haven for our beloved pot-bellied pigs and Petplan has enabled us to keep this area in-tact which the pigs will be relieved about! With so many needy animals to care for, the Trust is always very grateful for such practical support. It looks in fantastic shape for our open day."

Vicky Field, Head of Field Sales at Petplan said: "We approached the National Animal Welfare Trust to find out whether they needed any help with projects around the centre. When we heard about this fantastic opportunity to help the charity, we were delighted and more than happy to offer assistance - it was great to meet the pigs too!"
