November charity prize draw winner

At Petplan, we are passionate about animal welfare, which is why we work with more animal re-homing charities than any other pet insurance provider - in fact over 1,200 throughout the UK.

With the rising cost of animal care, we realise that helping these charities with their valuable work is more important than ever before. Every month we hold a prize draw awarding a re-homing centre with a £500 prize cheque. It's easy to take part: all charities that issue 4-weeks' free insurance cover to their adopters and supporters (through a Petplan cover note, or a voucher) are entered into the draw.

By rescuing and rehoming, these animal charities are doing amazing work. But raising funds to run a charity can be difficult: the prize can often provide a much-needed lifeline, helping to fund improvements, fundraising days, food bills, and much more. It is also often a lovely surprise for staff in recognition of all of their dedicated efforts promoting pet insurance.

We are delighted to announce The Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home as November's prizewinner. In response to winning the prize, Francesca Greaves, Community Fundraiser at the centre said: "The Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home would like to say a big thank you to Petplan for their kind donation of £500. Our aim is to care for and find new, loving homes for as many abandoned and stray dogs and cats as possible. It is through donations such as yours that we can continue to work to look after these animals."
