Pet Census - Dog's Dinners
Petplan has created the Petplan Pet Census, which is designed to be the largest pet research ever, looking into the true picture of pet ownership in Britain. The completed Petplan Pet Census will be launched in the UK in 2011 to coincide with the National Census and will paint a true picture of what it is like to be a pet owner in Britain today. Incorporating information on health, finance, social and family, the Petplan Pet Census will be the first port of call for all you need to know about Britain's pets. 1. Have you ever given your pet human food as a treat?
8 out of 10 people feed their pet’s human food ranging from ice cream and muffins to lobster thermidor and spaghetti hoops. What have you fed your pet in the past?
2. Has your pet ever tasted take away?
Nearly half of pet owners feed their pets take away, including British favourite’s fish and chips and curry. Petplan Vet of the Year Mike Hewitt recommends that instead of over indulging pets on these fatty foods, pet owners stick to specially formulated pet food that will provide them with all the nutrients they need.
3. Has your pet ever stolen food?
Nearly two thirds of owners admit that their pet has stolen food from them in the past. Has your pet ever stolen food from you?
4. Have you ever put your pet on a diet?
