Nujax My Way wins Petplan Junior Stakes Grand Final

Nujax My Way has been announced the winner of the prestigious Petplan Junior Stakes Grand Final. After beating off competitors from sixteen qualifying heats around the country, the Lakeland Terrier was awarded the top prize of Best in Show on Wednesday 8th October.

Petplan, the UK's leading pet insurer, hosted the annual event at Kempton Park Racecourse with 32 dogs vying for the winners position. The three judges this year, Hans van de Berg, Ann Ingram and Ron James awarded points based on Breed Type, Conformation and Movement. As with tradition for the Petplan Final, the judges also awarded extra points to the highest scoring dogs for those who stood out with 'Star Quality'. The Lakeland Terrior, owned by Jaxson Manser and Amy English, clearly made the right impression after beating off a record nine juniors that made it through to the last round.

The Petplan Junior Stakes, now in its 14th year, has established itself as a popular and well supported event on the UK dog show circuit. Junior Stakes is open to dogs and bitches from 6-18 months on day of qualifying. Once again the quantity and quality of entrants is fantastic and this continues to strengthen from year to year.
