Hero pet of the year
A pet who has shown exceptional bravery in an extraordinary situation. They have demonstrated true courage or ability, and are admired for their heroic actions and honourable qualities.
Survivor pet of the year
A pet that has gone through trauma or suffering, but has fought their way back for a second chance at a normal life. They have demonstrated true strength and resilience, and an ability to continue on, despite the struggles.
Rescue pet of the year
A pet who has been given a second chance to find their happily ever after. These pets demonstrate an open heart to a fresh start with a loving new family, whether already in a new home or waiting for theirs to come along!
Best friend pet of the year
A pet who is their owner’s most cherished friend. They’re always there when you need them and demonstrate unconditional love, affection and support.
Performer pet of the year
A pet who entertains us all with their talents, tricks and antics, bringing laughter and joy to all those around them. They could be the next viral TikTok sensation, or an unintentional goofy superstar!
How are the Pet Awards judged?
Each nomination will be reviewed and an independent panel of pet experts will have the difficult task of narrowing them down to select the finalists and winners. Make sure to include key details of why you think your pet deserves the crown and to have a picture or video of your much loved furry friend ready when you complete your nomination, as this really helps to bring your nomination to life!

The winners of each category will receive a trophy and a selection of fantastic pet prizes to congratulate their success. Our fabulous four finalists in each category will also receive prizes to recognise their incredible achievements.
