Why has my premium increased?

Petplan are pet insurance experts, and we price our policies to allow us to cover the cost of the claims we expect to receive so we can continue supporting our customers and their pets. As a result of the increased cost of treating pets that we have seen in recent months, we have applied larger premium increases than usual.
There are lots of different factors that determine the cost of the premium you pay. Your premium will increase every year as your pet gets older, the cost of treating pets has increased in recent years which is why your premium may have increased more than usual. We pay 97% of all the claims we receive and our Claims Pricing Guarantee means we won’t charge you more for claiming.
